People don't realize what cruel monsters bowhunters are and the horrific death these animals endure for sports until they see it for themselves and that is just what they did in Skagit County Washington where Elk were being brutally slaughtered by bowhunters out in the open. This is what Fish and Wildlife allows for sports, trophy and recreational killing whether it be deer or Elks, death by a arrow is never "quick" and one of the most barbaric and inaccurate way to kill an animal. We have non-lethal methods to reduce deer/Elk population why do we need to resort to cruelty to "deal" with deer/Elk population ?
